Guys - by now everybody knows that i am a vertically chalenged old fart that likes petit girls in bikinis, however i am also an amateur boat builder that loves the smell of epoxy - maybe that is why me brain has gone soft :D :D

BUT - every once in a while a webpage designer comes along that really can put a website together THAT WORKS - couple that to a fantastic product and you have pure magic.

And the golden globe goes to

SCHIONNING

Manie I absolutely agree with you. It's like how the hell did I miss this before... just look at this !

Dam (:D) I wish I was closer to the sea. I'm getting extraction symptoms again so I'm going fishing by the morrow.

Btw, you after 3 beer has gone flat but don't worry I'll courier it to you.

They did it right. The header loads first to give you something to look at, then the text and last the pics. There is nothing worse that a web site that leaves you staring at a blank page while everything loads in the background, or has hi res graphics that freeze the page while they are loading. This site is slick.

Thanks Manie.

Very good site, with lot of good information and I appreciate the realistic ciphers given: displacements, speeds, number of work hours etc.

Very nice boats also (the power ones I didn't look at the sail section) and good methods of building. Well made PDFs. Impressive site.

That is one of my all time favorite sites. It has been at the top of my bookmarks list for a long time now and I am still not tired of it.
They have some very sensible designs and realistic methods outlined.

Here is another you might like:

That picture of those guys standing there grinning like idiots makes me wish I had a paintball gun to make them go scurrying below decks...they look like they are having too much fun and it kinda' pisses me off;?)

What I hate about these nice boats is if you choose one you feel unhappy about the others you didn't choose. Somehow it's the same with wiemen :D

In the next life I want many boats with wiemen on them. I hope they can cook fish

Thinking about it, I just hope there will be fish :D

Hey Manie thats a Cat site ag sis man

reminds me of that cartoon joke posted elsewhere where the one guy is sitting in the middle of the ocean on his upside down cat looking down into the water at the other guy blowing bubbles from his mono from the ocean floor :D

life is all about choices :D

remember this, that i will get to Frosty's pub a WEEK before you do, my back and front would have been massaged and i would have ample time to drink beer :D

Big mouth when you're far away eh ! You realize when a mono gets hit by a trimaran it's going to cut it into four parts, right ?

Who wants to walk on the walls of things in any way :D

I was going to buy or build a schioning, I looked very hard at all boats of catamarans in 40 foot size.

Im glad I didnt, although I really like the design.

Check out the old thread 'who can build me a power cat in asia"

Eh Butch. You also just using their downwind technique then. Trade winds can be bloody boring.

And to think they could have gone around the world, what... 100 days is it ?

Geezzz Frosty, just think about that huge deck you would have to sweep... and the distance you'd have to walk to the fridge for beer. No man, you guys should stick to mono's.

I'm worried about Frosty's bridgedeck clearance. The seawind's seems ok though.

Once you've had a cat , bridge deck clearance becomes very important, I understand your concern but I think at a guess it is 80/90cm.

Mine is identical to the picy but no teak aft deck (too heavy) and no built in bridge, I like to keep the wind in my hair.

this site has changed in particular the gallery section , which is brilliant
I think the people who are professionals should pay to have their work here, and this includes me
Thank you!!
