I would like to know the alternative ways of attaching foam to a female basket mould. I am aware of screwing through the stringers from the outside. Has anyone used Raptor polymer nails or staples from the inside? If so, how do you can the nails/staples to remove the assembly from the mould?
Thanks

The fastest is to simply sew the foam.
We used to build in Airex , and would heat the foam a bit so it would contour to the basket easily.
A big needle with a fellow outside to push it back in works really fast. The person inside can see the wood .
After the outer skin is laid up , the plug is rotated up right and placed in a simple form to keep the hull shape.
The strings were slashed with a knife and the plug simply lifted out.
WEAK string , heavy thread (should you miss some cutting loose) will breaK , RATHER THAN TEAR THE CORE MATERIAL.
Quick and safe , if you have a helper.
