Seasons Greetings to everyone, May all your boats sail with fair breezes and gentle seas....

Until the "Office with a view" sells and I have built my boat, I guess I am stuck here looking out over the Pacific in total longing and envy at all you people out there somewhere - Good on yer, My time will come soon and we can all indulge in our drugs of choice - I still have a thing for a cheeky rough red to deliver alcohol....

Have a look here - German technology - website is the Australian distributor http://www.torqeedoaustralia.com/Torqeedo_Australia/News.html the 4 cruise is impressive and will be looking at it closely soon up Hervy Bay way on a bit of a test on a 44'C I think.... seems quite useful and efficient.... to complete my due dillegence and is still fairly new so - time will tell and the falling euro & US$ will help us in Australia I hope... still buying gold whenever I can....

Meanz Beanz
12-11-2008, 07:38 PM
Dump it and go make a rude offer on someone elses boat... you will be a mile ahead! If this keeps up sometime next year there will be a property price slash fest in Australia IMHO you want to be as far ahead of that as you can!

daiquiri
12-11-2008, 07:48 PM
Manie, you've just demonstrated how far ahead of rest of us you are...
Whish you a great 2009 or 2010, whichever applies to you (possibly both). :D

Rocky horror,--what a load of winkers, they would come in the pub on Saturdays all dressed up like --like idiots in stocking Oh god Manie what were you thinking.

All those bars I was going to take you to, Now I got to remake a list, we can cater for all types, Ille wait for you outside.

You didnt --did'nt dress up in stocking and suspenders did you.

Oh god I dont wanna know.

But never mind Manie I can straighten you out and get those feelings out of you. Just to make it interesting how long do you think it will take to get a girl friend over here. 1, 5, or 10 minutes.

I suppose its obvious really 1 minute would be pushing it a bit and ten minutes is far too long, so it has to be 5.

My mate got one just walking out of the ship yard after landing In Thailand for the first time on his yacht. I told him what would happen but he just laughed at me as being ridiculous, he only walked down the road for some food and came back with a 19 year old --12 months later he married her, her was 54.

She was fabulous, smart and very attractive ,not a money grabber and eventually ran his company for him . He would still be with her if he had'nt been such a prick. Thank god she had the brains to stay away from him no matter how hard he pleads for her to return. You dont know what you got till its gone.

Wynand N
12-12-2008, 02:41 AM
You didnt --did'nt dress up in stocking and suspenders did you.
Oh god I dont wanna know.

and now it all adds up Frosty.

The other day when Manie showed me his catamaran under construction in his garage, I caught a discreet glimpse of a garter belt, fishnets and a minuscle G string in one of his cupboards where he stock his resins....and thought to myself he must be a stud having those around in the workshop:D

But whow, Manie Frankenfurter:p :p I would give my left ball to see him all dressed up for the timewarp:D :D

Manie B
12-12-2008, 04:32 AM
NO NO NO

I definately didn't dress up

gawd can you imagine a short stocky hairy caucasian:D (hairy like Robin Williams) dressed up in a garter - jeeeez no

Frosty i am farket in the head but "Dicks" ok - he is still my "best" friend

i just enjoyed the vibe - lots of gripping and groping -
now you see i'm a perv as well :D :D :D

and as for Wynand i'm on my way then i will deal with him :D :D strap him to that famooos rudder and give him lashes

whats the bet i can "get organised" in 4 minutes :D
dont be fooled by my classic good looks :D and my "adonis" 5'7" body :D i am every mothers worst nightmare :D the mothers sometimes got nailed first :p

you must watch this song - its funny - dont worry no nudity or porn - i know that you guys are still too young for naughty stuff - this will give a hilarious "twist" to the rockey era - adolessence at its best

http://www.tastelikepizza.com/index.php?itemid=12726#go-content

and dont worry i know what "female" trouble looks like :p :p been there also:(

farkit gettin old - caused soo much **** over sooo long
maybe franken furter and his buddy the devil gonna git me

BUT before they get me - sail to Frosty's pub

i want 2 - that one one stuff is for whooosys :D :D

Wynand N
12-12-2008, 06:18 AM

Its the 25th and Im not out ,--I am in,-- watching the telly eating chocolate cake. I couldnt afford a turkey so I bought a piece of pork with the skin on and tied a piece of string round to shape it and then drew some legs on it so it looked like a turkey. It worked quite well actually, I was very pleased with the result and how much money I had saved.

I shall be ridding myself of Anus horribillis on the boat as I will be able to see the Shereton hotels fire works display that is free.

I will not be at any parties because I dont get invited to them. I would never go to a party that would have people like me there anyway.

Fanie
01-15-2009, 07:09 PM
Mmmm Mas, reading that article it seems like Frosty may be a small Afghan or Bulgarian or Montenegran who doesn't like er... russians (we have chips with our's) and ausies drinking beer with ice in them, and yip, euro is something you say when you hop into a dinghy :D

Did Frosty join the Taliban ? May well be, he doesn't like cats and wants to shoot fish :D

Well spotted there Mas. Bloody South Africans are everywhere, and they have the gaul to say thank you for things too eh ;)

Fanie
01-15-2009, 07:13 PM
Manie, he is a permanent resident / citizen? and is working near Dalby, Queensland, for a mining company.

There's mines in .AU ? I thought you had a desert, a couple of people living around the coast line and everyone have a boat. .AU is big in boats, right ?

masalai
01-15-2009, 07:24 PM
Lots and lots of mines and the deserts are the slag/overburden heaps cleverly disguised as AU is a VERY DRY continent - hence the need to drink lots of beer...

We have mines for everything even diamonds, and most are open-cut and fuckin BIG......

Fanie
01-15-2009, 07:28 PM
Open mines are good. You fill them with water afterwards and the make the paradise all dream to live in...

masalai
01-15-2009, 07:45 PM
Don't you read? water shortages and DRIEST continent - so dry we have to drink beer.... :P:P:P - so the only option is to fill the whole holes with urine? but that will evaporate faster than can be pissed in - and the smell - we will have to export that to saffa so you folk can feel "at home".....

We are busy exporting Australia offshore by bulk carriers at 250,000 tonnes or more a time.... Our diamond mine was closed last week 'cause we were producing too many diamonds....

Wynand N
01-15-2009, 11:22 PM
Mas, aren't that big diamond mine on the north western side of OZ where they mine those lovely pinky's called Kimberly:?:

Manie B
01-15-2009, 11:40 PM
Hey Mas - bloody well spotted mate :D

we also have russians here wearing those 2 life preserver floatation devices on their chests - they ussually work at Teazers which is our local "table / lap dancing" outfit :D

i frikken hate those life preserver american style appendages - just look at the clown look that Christina Aguilera supports lately  HORRIBLE

anyway i am still looking for crew :P
so i have come up with pics of what could probably be ideal candidates :D
i am going to write to them soon :D
who knows, if i keep on at it i may get lucky oneday ??

YEAH MAN BRING IT ON :D :D :D

Frosty
01-16-2009, 12:05 AM
Mannie I can see things are getting hard for you. You need to take yourself in hand.

What these girls need Is a stiff talking to,--- bearing there chests like that, its enough to make a man blind.

They need and English man with a stiff upper lip --that would touch the spot.

Manie B
01-16-2009, 01:07 AM
he he Frosty

i found some good crew candidates in thailand as well
but these old farts will die of a heart attack if they ever had too see that stuff - also small and petit:D

maybe it is my "short man syndrome" showing - at 5'7" you cant call that stiff upper lip - that is just short - period,
however thank gawd i am not an old fart and have still the "energy"

may the force be with you:D
dont forget - its just a jump to the left :D

Frosty
01-16-2009, 03:05 AM
Yeah I can see from your avatar you are vertically challenged.

masalai
01-16-2009, 03:37 AM
Wynand N yes "pink Champagne" at Argyle, operated by "Rio Tinto"

Manie, the last three seem a bit shallow or cartoon like?

and Frosty is just challenged? :D:D:D and I don't get it...?

Manie B
01-17-2009, 12:28 AM
Mas for my own sanity i dont really read much news any more - the entire planet is fu@ked and there is only so much that any individual can do.

ALL my free time and energy is now concentrated on my boats - first of the "production" line will be my "Jarcat" which could be on the water by this April. This boat is basically my "to scale" experimental cat to establish data for hull resistance = speeds - upwind sailing = keel sizes and then my "aft mast" design similar to Prout / Dean.

As you know i have been at this CAT thing now for many many years and the time frame is officially set now. My wife did start her new job as senior management and they have got a huge division in Sydney!

Because of the complexities of my childrens University studies and my wife been "groomed" for Sydney we will be here for 4 years. This suits me fine, because i have not really recovered from the 2008 financial hiding but my 12m CAT program is basically back on track, its a 3 year build program and then i will get to know the boat for a year during 2012. During that year i will do Durban - Cape Town and Durban - Mauritious - Seychells. After a year of up and down the coast i would think that the boat would be sorted

AND THEN

off to Frosties Pub
say hello to you and my other hooligans in Brisbane
and then i must clock in in Sydney by the missus or else she will skin me alive:D
after that who cares
learn to fish ?
get a beer making kit ?
grow herbs ?

:D :D :D

masalai
01-17-2009, 01:30 AM
Good on yer Manie, I hope to be built and sailing well before then but I should warn you, "herbs" are illegal here.... (marijuana I mean and other recreational meds) so I could not recommend growing same... BUT if you mean the normal kitchen herbs and such, well that is OK :D:D:D:D:D

Hopefully I will be seriously into building by April...

Frosty
