Anybody put a single Diesel in a Uniflite that had two gas V8's? I am getting the boat for free and it is prestien so I can spend a buck or two. What about a single I/O?

is it I/O's now? If it's inboards might be a stretch to get an o/d on it at the very least it'll mean jackshafts. I've seen drives for two inboard screws from a single engine. Sorry can't remember the name of it. Think I saw it in Passagemaker magazine a yr or so ago.

Ah! Jackshafts so you put the engine weight back where it was originally? The engines were set about 8ft +/- from transom. Am I thinking right?
