Hello,
I am looking for a construction method that allows one to replace ,in case of need, foam in a fiberglass sandwich hull .

This would be usefull for testing different foams for example .

I thought one could just lay fiberglass on a thin sheet of wood forming the hull , then hoocking the foam to the wood sheet by nails or else one could achieve structural resistance and foam isolation from fiberglass ..

Hints ?

The foam in sandwich construction is STRUCTURAL.
It MUST be bonded to the two skins.

Think how hard it would be to replace the center I in an I beam.

Damaged areas can be cut out and replaced , should you destroy an area .

Would that be the same for polyethylene hulls ?
