Hi all,
I have been doing some research and looking at electrical installations for my boat and my boat is a 23 foot mahogany motor cruiser with a volvo penta duo prob stern drive.
The question is there any need for a trim trab installation.
The boat is not yet finished so is not able to be run in the water just yet.

Advice any ideas???

What's the finished weight of the boat going to be? What size (model) engine? V-6" V-8? We ran a 20' cuddy with a VP V-6 & Single Prop o/d and wish we had trim tabs on it. If you think you boat will end up heavy for the amount of horsepower you'll have a fun time finding the right prop combination and trim tabs can help mitigate that to some degree.

With your V/P stern drive setup, you'll not likely need tabs. The drive trim will control most all of the issues you might encounter.

Thats kinda what i thought PAR, I guess trim tabs where more meant for inboard engine installation without the ability to trim the prop like in a stern drive.
I guess they are not hard to install if i do need them in the future..

Cheers
