Dory v Cathedral

Can anyone tell me the difference, if any between a Dory hull and a cathedral hull. And if poss a brief history of both.

A dory is a flat bottom boat usually with lot of flare on ths sides. The sides can be carvel or lapstrake. The cathedral hull is a development of the sea sled. It has a vee in the middle with two tunnels and two outboard hulls. It is almost like a trimaran scrunched together. It was developed by the founder of Boston Whaler. Hickman, who invented the sea sled, was very difficult to deal with. The owner of Boston Whaler payed a MA to design something with the same qualities and the cathedral hull was born.
