I found someone who owns a boat and who doesn't have a stiff upper lip ;)

Come December a friend and myself will be heading to CT to do some commercial tuna fishing with this guy on his boat. He has a 33' power cat. Yes, yello FINnes.

I just hope we don't get banned from the CT waters if we catch too much fish. I guess we'll be coming back home when there's either no more fish left in the area or when there is a strike from the other boats because we catch and they don't :D Yes, we have that effect on others :D

He he... last time at the coast I was fishing with my 'medium' rig. The guy with us was Anton, springbok surf angler, he told me I was never going to get a rockcod out with my little (he called it 'bass') rig. Anyway, the ~2kg rockcod's lip was almost torn off it's head  He he he... the guys said afterwards Anton had a closer look at my 'bass' rig when I put it down in the camp and when I wasn't looking :D

Anyway, I'm just excited about it :p Come December come !!!

He he, I briefly met someone who has a house in Suldanha. He said we can go there to fish. I said we'll launch in Maputu when the cat is done. He says it's 2000km by road, how long do I think it's going to take to SAIL around South Africa. I said I don't know, it depends how long it's going to take to catch all the fish from Maputu to Saldanha...

He said I'm coming with !! :D

Go saffas, Hope you all catch lots of fish (remember nukla "nuclear" fishing is not real good as the radio-activity spoils the flavour).... Most importantly take plenty of booze - to marinate the fish whilst cooking (don't waste the booze marinate in your stomach) - drink first - and whilst grilling on a rack over the coals of a dieing fire, eat the cooked fish so it can be marinated in your gut....

Wrap the fish in alfoil along with all your favourite herbs and spices along with butter, coconut milk/cream and plenty of quartered sour lemons..... You will get the mix right eventually....

We'll probably be too tired at nights to cook fish. We'll catch prime fish by day and buy stale caffee fish by night to eat :D

Amazingly it's these fish with the small thin tails that swims best.

It's going to commercial fishing we do in CT, less fun with such heavy tackle, but who knows what powerful mysteries is hidden down yonder. Getting a whale by the tail could result in another 'big one that got away' story ;)

Heard of somone who was on for like four hours with a big fish when a ***** in his rubber duck ride the line off. I can see the trophy on the wall... 'and this one drove over my line with his rubber duck'...

Hello...

Best of luck...

Brilliant photo - the shark bearing onto the scuba vacationers - great stuffs...

That is like the Japanese bankers son filming his friends into a pride of SA starved lions...

Oops - keep filming...

Hope you are all well...
