I'm a 17 years old student at his last year of high school and I'm thinking of studying something related with boat and design. I have always loved the sea and sail boats so is not hard for me to decide to study something related with this subject.
My problem is that I don't know how to decide between different degrees for two reasons:
-I can't understand which are the differences between them;
-I don't know which is the most suitable for me.

The degrees I have considered are:
-Yacht and Powercraft Design at Southampton University;
-Boat Design MDes degree at Coventry University;
- Naval Architectural

Which are the main diffeences between these degres? How can I decide which is the best for me?

Thank you everyone in advance.

Do you want to work in a shop with the process or an office with the plans?

Do you want to work on small (<~30m) or large (>~30m) vessels?

if I had my time over, I would take a degree, in mech .eng. then shift to navel later.
Supply demand
There are I dunnu, say 100000 to 1, ratio for mech eng as for navel arch

I would like to design small vessels, but I don't know which is the best degree to get in order to achieve my dream. I really hope that some of you can suggest me something giving me the right advice.

What do you think about the degree in Yacht and Powercraft Design at Southampton Solent University?

Is it a right choice to achieve my dream? Do you have other suggestion of good school in Europe or in Italy that is where i live?
