Hi all,
I am just starting to plan my new power installtion for my boat. I have started by selecting the battery for the starter and things what I do need is information on what needs to be connected to the starter battery. There will be the starting circuit and most likely a 24v system so 2 more large batts around 200ah each
So Far :-
Starting Batt (X-Cell 12V 75ah AGM 750cca)
on this circuit will be
- Starter Motor
- Eng Instruments approx 6A
- Bilge Pump 3.2A 5A fuse
- Bilge Blower 2.7A 3A fuse
- Gas detector 2A fuse
Is anything else required on this circuit.
The battery banks will be connected to the alt by the blueseas 120A automatic charging relay with the Dual circuit battery switch all Blue seas.
Thats all i have so far.
Does anyone have experience in designing there own system and does this sound sufficient so far. I have been reading the Marine Electrcial Electronics Bible by John C Payne.
Any thoughts help is appreciated
Steve
