Hi everyone, in a couple of months I'm starting my final project for the university: 60 footer sailing boat.

I have in mind the same style as the Wally Yachts.

As my degree is Naval Architecture and not Yacht Design, I need to implement as much engineering as possible; therefore I want to include the design of a lifting keel.

I'd like to know if anyone has any information available, or you'd know of anyone who would share it.

Thanks in advance for your help

If you want your yacht to have a reasonable draft I think my keel would be applicable. Write to me with your address at sditmore@juno.com and I'll mail you information.

Dear Fernando
In 1996 was built in Argentina a 42 feet, cruiser racer Frers design, named Match 42 with a lifting keel. The draft was 1,65 mts up and 2,45 down.
The keel was made in plumb, operated hydraulically and was earlier than the Carrera (Wally one off with lifting keel).
Since then this boat has win a lot of races IMS formula (Buenos Aires-Rio de Janeiro f.e.).
If you want more datails let me know
