Heavily oxidised hull, what grit paper before painting?

Need to get rid of the oxidisation before painting.

Hi GWB, generally speaking if there's no damage to the surface you can start with 120 then 220 then 320.

But if the surface is resisting (taking too long) you could begin with 80, just keep the DA flat and try not to stay in one spot too long.

I'm just a beginer also but I've got some great tread's do a search for awlgrip.

one's titled "orange peel" another "awlgrip knowledge challenge" There's good stuff in both but you may have to sift through some chatter.
