Welcome back, Tim. You were missed by your friends here.

Now, you lazy bastard, get over to the drivel thread and start pulling your weight. You've been goofing off way too long! :D :D :D

… and welcome back Tim old buddy!

I’ve also been down for a week or so – some sodding virus ate my computer and I lost everything. Why do we think of anti-virus programmes when it’s too late?

His better side was when he "mooned" the redcoats.....

Hi Trev, been having fun with all that lovely lumber? into Arc's or ranch-houses...

Mas,

We had thought I could only get back on as GOZ, but whatever we did, eventually (once Jeff tried it from his end) allowed me to get on normally. I did have to change the way I access the site to a numerical address though.

Speaking of that Scottish wildman, has he been about?

Nothing has changed since he told everyone he would be offline for a while because he had acquired a large quantity of exotic hardwoods for just the cost of transport. A windfall for normal people, but the association for the preservation of Scots culture, the Caledonian Heritage Exhibition for Artistic Preservation (CHEAP), has said Bergalia is a fraud, claiming that a true Scot would not have paid even for the transport. :D :D :D

Thought about it. :) Actually I'll ask Jeff to delete GOZ, though I'm half scared that would somehow screw me up again.

While I am waiting, here is a picture showing the local weather (Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia) It takes several minutes to upload on my dialup speed broadband service....... Outside of major cities, expensive satellite ISP is the only speedy alternative, & mobiles/cellphones remain out of reach....

Hey Walrus,

I'll be over your way for ten days in April. I think I'm flying into Manchester though, as it is much closer to my lady's home in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. I'll let you and Trev know if we'll be down your way.

Roger on that Tim, at the moment I'm in darkest Cornwall with little prospect of escaping to the big city but times and things change so we'll see what happens nearer the time!

I do, normally, but I'm one of the unemployed at the moment! So I'm home annoying the wife immensely!

Mike,

Give and take buddy. Usually they annoy us. I gave the machine I run at work a femine name (Betsy) becuase she is finicky and prone to problems. :)
When I told my girlfriend that, she said, "I'll ignore that comment".

Did I tell you I'll be moving to England in less than a year? If Soraya gets a high paying job in London, we may live there. Truth told is, we'd like to buy a home in Derbyshire, and paying the high rents in London would not be good. Better to apply the $$$ to our house.

I do look forward to boating on the Thames with Trev though.
