You know I’d love to but the wife says our vacation money is going for X-mas in Arizona. (her family) I have deliberately stayed away from the IBEX site so I didn’t know what I was missing. I had a great time at the last show and learned a lot.

I'd like to go this year, but don't like the new location. Last year I stayed in Pompano for a very reasonable amount. Drive to the convention center was about 15 minutes. I don't believe there is anyplace to stay in Miami within 15 minutes of the convention center that I could afford or would feel comfortable staying. I am lucky in that I can drive down in about 4-5 hours, much cheaper than flying!

I may change my mind though!

Try the Miami River Inn, 305-325-0045. While seeming not to be in the best of locations, it is about 7 miles from the convention center, and your car will be in a fenced in area. It is a enclave on the river and it is pretty cheap. Kind of a bed and breakfast sort of operation with about 40 rooms.

The Fort Lauderdale venue was more convinent in my opinion, and a much more senic facility and since Bluewater Nautical Books and Charts was right across the street.

I am going to IBEX, went in February, it was very good.

Not this year, maybe next. Those who are going will have to fill the rest in.
