Thanks K9
See if this dosnt get you where you want to go. If its not what your looking for then Im going to have to ask you to be a bit more specific, about the type and purpose of the ship in question.

K9,
Do you know where I can get a copy of NATO STANAG 4154 "Common Procedures for Seakeeping in the Ship Design Process" or link to the pdf. I've searched and searched but have had no luck at all. Thanks

I am reading a book about hovercaft and SES design. In it there is a chart which shows different hull types (planing hull, displacement hull, catamaran, hydrofoil, SES, hovercraft.....etc.) at speed in different sea states and payloads.
To be honest hydrofoils perform way above anything else according to this chart.
I'll try and dig it up for you. Not sure if it applies to NATO standards though.
Here is some refrence material to 4154

You can purchase the document here:

Here is a listing with all the supplements for purchase:
http://engineering-standards.globalspec.com/search?query=North%20Atlantic%20Treaty%20Organization%20Stanag%204154&show=standards
Here is another free paper that refrences Stanag 4154:

Hope that is of some help. Looks like if you want the actuall Stanag you will have to buy it. I thinks its $38.00 US. Not too bad if you need it for a government project.

Thanks everyone for the interest.
I need to find some criteria with values limits allowed to impact aceleration in the center of gravity, and values limits allowed to impact aceleration in bow at planing hull for example, values limits allowed to impact aceleration in bow at Patrol Boat, Fast Ferries, Rescue Boats.

K9,
Thanks very much for the info. The second link doesn't seem to work and the third link to purchase STANAG 4154 say it's $75.00. Where did you see it for $38.00?
I agree $38.00 is not too bad if I can find it for that.
Thanks again.

Sorry Oceanmaster the 38 was for one of the supplements. It is 75 for the actuall STANAG. If I had a copy I would e-mail it to you, but its not something I deal with much.
