Hello all!
Great site this is! Looks like a lot of info I will use! I just found this site today while looking for a 14 ft. ski boat hull. I found an older post here from the Cottager company looking to sell their 14 ft. ski boat molds. I've tried to contact them before, do to interest in buying a bare bones hull and decking. I also like the looks of the Glastron Gt 140. These are both designs that would do well for my intented use, as I have a beach house on Lake Erie and want a manageable sized boat for beach launching. I would be greatful of anyone's directions to a solution per my quest! I do have a hull that is a vintage 1968 Traveler Polaris. Problem with rot in the transom and inside shelf / wooden bracing has made me a little nervous! I don't know if I will ever get time to fix it right, although research I've made says it can be done.

Now as to your boat.... do you have any particular emotional or sentimental attachment to the '68 Polaris? (btw, can you post some photos of it? Googling the thing only turns up the 70-metre M/V Polaris and a few snowmobiles.) If you're not particularly attached to this one, I doubt you will find a full-bore rebuilding of the hull structure to be financially viable- not when compared against buying a well-loved 1990s model of whatever catches your eye.

This pretty little beauty was *given* to us by our Pelee Island beach neighbor. The boat had sat under various quality tarps for at least 12 years. It had 4-5 inches of sand inside! The Merc 40 HP 402 is being rebuilt with all new attachments, so at least we'll have that.
