Ah, I know it's summer in OZ and it never really gets too cold down there... What you think is "foam" is actually brought about by a cold weather condition and is called SNOW. Google it for a better description. Some of us acquainted with it (not me!) will deliberately go outside and "play" in/with it. :D

I must say since I'm the new guy here, I've learned a lot... make that a LOT. I don't know why I haven't looked at sailing earlier on, probably wasn't ready for it, ignorance, whatever, I guess any excuse will have to do.
Thanks for your accomodation, hints, advice, the jokes good grief some filthy buggers here ;), and the personality you all bring to this forum.
Due to all of your inspiring advice like 'DON'T build your own boat ' I'm now building a little tri to get some sailing experience and get a skipper's licence. After that I'll tackle the Boxy Fisher which will be a sailing motor cat that catches fish, maybe even more fish...
Lastly I made some new friends. The nice thing about a forum is you can be friends without having to look at the ugly bugger's face while trying to concentrate on a subject eh !
For those hwo has the boat already... happy sailing, and to all, all the good things that goes with a great Christmas !
I'm going to stop here now before Masalai burst into tears (beat you to it, didn't I :D)

Apart from that (and them) have a good one fellahs, don't get too pissed (no mor'n once a day) for them as drink (them as don't unless it's medical go get one whilst your priest is looking the other way, in most cases share his!) And a fantastic New Year, better than the last couple

Christmas fear have I none,--exept that walrus will probably be given a day off and so we might have him hanging around for the whole day.
Stuffed with Turkey if he manages to stuff it then kill it and stick it in the washer to boil it. Thats what they do in Cornwall, Best not mention it to him,-- he gets a bit embarrassed about it.
Then down the town hall for free beer for the pensioners before paddling in the river for snails. All jolly good fun ----if your Cornish.
Back to the house for the queens speech at three and then settle down for Morcambe and wise Christmas special followed by the Two Ronnies.
" I want 4 candles" "have you got any O's'

I suppose I could do what I did last year, walk round to the Westin Hotel Used to be Shereton. Walk up to the hotel from the beach and tuck into the lunch.
Its the swimming trunks that do it. No one expects a con man in swimming trunks wiping his hair.
You ask permission to eat with trunks on , when he says no, you come back with clothes on and he smiles and says good morning sir and pushes the seat in for you.
He wont ask for your room number because you are chatty with him by this time. If any one else asks you say "he knows me"
Damn I suppose I will have to pay for my own beer. I hate these penny pinching hotels.
Unless I can find some ones key on the beach.

16 is old enough Danish especially in Denmark. Dont worry they wont be virgins either.
If there old enough to put them on they are old enough to take them off.
I do prefer an older mature woman myself.

LOL, You guys are too much! Seriously, I'm referring to what the law says. That you're considered an adult when you hit the age of fifteen. When you're that age, you can have sex with anyone 15 and above (no limit). That's it. The only exception being, that if you work as a teacher or somehow are a person with "power" over someone, that age is raised to 18. That's how it is here. I really don't care if americans think that is rude to say or are otherwise offended, as I am only referring facts. I really can't take it seriously if someone thinks that I shouldn't tell anyone about that, because they have moral issues concerning it.
If they have any problems with that part of our law, they should become a danish citizen and raise the issue. Otherwise - I really can't be bothered.

I didn't say I would go for a sixteen-year-old. I agreed with frosty when he said "16 is old enough" – and according to our laws, it is. I prefer mature women my own age give or take five-six years.
Are we done now with this moralising vomitting?

12-21-2007, 11:08 PM
So? don't get testy, similar laws & conditions in Aus, But yanks, total wankers & bigots when anything sexual or anal is mentioned. **** I have been through this before, no telling some people. what's a powder room got with having a **** or piss, or a bog the list goes on.... Powder rooms are for storing explosives. Although the atmosphere in the toilet can become explosive of occasion - a methane fire is amusing if for others.

This is what frosty wrote:
16 is old enough Danish especially in Denmark.
Now, this is what I wrote as a reply to the above:
[true- 15 is the "pants-age". Unless you're their teacher or otherwise can be said to abusing your position of power.
This is in fact true. Here in this country we do call it the "pants-age", because the law actually states what I just explained. Recently that age has also become the cut-off age for buying alcohol and tobacco.
Now, where did I say what you insinuate, and now reenforce with your latest comments? Please do point me to it.

Oh, I see you added quite a bit.
I know you're "just responding" – aren't we all? You're making a logical leap here (and in fact a strawman argument): I never said you couldn't respond, nor did I infer it. So when you pretend I did, you're not being intellectually honest. And that leap you make of accusing me of being liberal –*I guess you want to know, so you can complete the other strawman you seem intent to "prove": That if I agree, I will also agree with your claim that I said what you think (and continue to claim) I said.
I'm not jumping onto that train, Longliner. Try something else, if you want to drag me down.

Danish septics are renown for shooting first. Which can make baiting fun, especially from the stories of some friends on Nam.
Our boys would only shower in hot water in prep for a patrol, no smoking, no bubble/chewing gum, no body powder etc & no "boom boxes & chatting whilst "out walking". Come close to US activity, throw a couple of stones or sticks, and all hell breaks out in a fires-torm, our guys walk around that, straight in & ask if any help is needed.

I guess this has run it's course for me, so I need to say something:
There is absolutely nothing wrong with americans per se (nor anyone else, for that matter). They are a pretty big (not a pun) target for jokes and "dissing" – simply because they're everywhere and they matter (and they have an idjit for president).
However, when someone tries to shove their personal set of morals down my throat simply because they read things that are not there into what I write, I find that act offensive by itself.

Monkey brains is popular here in Malaysia, eaten right from the still live monkey that is braced in a special table with thumb screws that hold the skull. The top of the head is removed like boiled egg. The brain is eaten with a spoon and I am told the monkeys eyes go round in their sockets as the brain is eaten
Cananbalism was popular at one time too, but that also is frowned upon now.

Frosty's not a barmaid? & monkey brains for dinner is a test of your intestinal fortitude, or, are you pissed enough not to notice. A rite of passage?
I don't see where Frosty said he partook? Nor have I? But it is a local delicacy, & plenty of monkeys. Other cultures prefer dogs, cats, snakes, rats, locusts, snails, frogs legs, whale flesh, dolphin meat, dugong, turtle, (all of which I would not necessarily eat as the idea is offensive), but the best meat for the health of the eater, minimal environmental impact for the farmer (no where near endangered or diminished in numbers despite European cry-babies protestations), is kangaroo.
Mary was the barmaid. Xmas greetings on this eve.

Man, I get busy and stay away for a bit and everything here turns to drivel!!
Westlawn, thanks for reminding us that young women are one of life's pleasures, any time of year.
Bagger, methinks you were just a wee bit sensitive. Longliner's comment just seemed, to me at least, to register disagreement with the Danish law legalizing sexual rights at 15. No more out of line than you disagreeing with activity permitted in the US ... which has happened now and then, if I recall correctly. :)
One of the delights of this forum is the range of opinions expressed. Divergent, often conflicting, but nearly always in good faith. Hell, if there's a better definition of a forum, I haven't heard it.
I know the day is nearly over for some of you, but it's just beginning in an hour here, sooooooo, Merry Christmas to you all.

Being obscure is not persona non gratia, as far as this little thrower of lots of communist herring knows. Arrrh my Latin is deteriorating. Danish will just have a lot of reading to do to catch up to recent "news"
