Hello...
Now I am not saying that I know everything – and thank God for that much – I would never want to be responsible for everything that I do have to say about things...
Let’s take a moment to observe the Dung Beetle – that little mad muck (no pun) – heavily armoured – but ultimately pushing a ball of **** up a hill in the wrong direction…
He holds closely to his **** – and he is furiously pushing it about – yet he cannot really see where he is going with it…
If you look at the photo – it is almost as if the **** ball provides some protection for the Dung Beetle…
Now what the hell does this have to do with boats - or with anything - for that matter...
Well - it is simple really...
No matter where you go - there will always be a Dung Beetle...

Personally I'm in favour of the dung beatle since they help recycle dung and so prevent flies to lay their eggs in the dung. Ask any .au guy.
So -
If not for the little dung beatle you'd probably have put up something about the FLY and BOATS

Hello...
Wow - that was a good friday night drunken rant...
Thing is though - that dung beetle is ME...
What makes me think that I can do this **** - I don't have a piece of paper from a recognized institution of 'boat stuff'...
Neither am I a very good sales man - I am finding myself wandering aimlessly through hobby shops looking for anything other than boats to peak my interest...
In vain - I always default to looking at the damned boats...
Bugger...

Hello...
Damn - but I DO WISH I was in Looes just now drinking ale and having a smoke with peers who know boats...
We could get drunk and then go bash each other in the courtyard - 'the chine has to fall straight in the aft sections - no hook' - 'Piss off - I want to see some hook' - that would scare off the passers by...
Looe Harbour is probably one of my most favourite places on this planet - aside from a little beach in Denmark on the way to Helsingore...
I guess I am just tired - in a spot - and it will pass...
My 'gung ho' has gone away for a little while...
Maybe I will go look at what Wally is up to these days...:)
Or some new pics. of Veronica Zemanova...
Thanks - I will get over myself by Monday - I have no choice - the mortgage is signed and needs to be paid...

Hello...
Yeah that's it - my wife is British - thank God - and her father lives in Cornwall - whenever we go over - I insist on going to Looes...
Don't know why really - it is just a place that I am drawn to...
There are some photos I took buried in my gallery somewhere...
I also miss the beaches of Calais - but for other reasons...
Looks like I have climbed out of my funk - playing about in Rhino with a 74 footer and maintaining control and surprising myself - having fun again...
Still - I wish I could drop this whole mess and get on a jet plane...

OK Sean,
You Have my attention, I thought you were "on a jet plane" or is that something similar to what I do "a bit of ******** & a bit of wishful thinking"? I think my life/feelings have something in common with yours' but I have been self indulgent / lucky / whatever, to be able to pursue my current dream & satisfy myself in that project, to move on to the next.
I am not suggesting you do or think of same/similar as there are other costs & consequences and I could not accept with the displeasure / anger in inciting such action, however I do perceive some form of kindred spirit.
For now I have the research capacity in this forum & the release in the drivel thread etc.. I am soooo tempted to "become the pontificating prick" on some threads, but then I draw back, as the posts were set in all seriousness and deserve sensible and constructive replies and bitter sarcasm is not productive (but fun sometimes).

Sean,
I don't know where Frosty is? I hope he is OK & not down in KL with the Tamil/Indian demonstrations. He (or is it Safie???) regularly kidding me with being related to Gamage so some "payback" in jest. I miss his wit & contributions.

Hello...
Kindred spirit - man - don't go down my path - if you have had success in your world - that is damn good - me - I am still banging my head - but I have learned the value of a good helmet for doing same...:)
I do this for a living - sometimes I have to go to the stock room for a dust mask - or put on a respirator - but I love it...
Sometimes I think I should just leave - get out - but when I walk up to that cliff edge - I realize that I have no parachute - I turn back - and I get back into the fight...
I am sure that some days I ask questions that make no sense to anyone - because I am tired - frustrated - and working hard...
Nothing is ultimately wrong - I make a fair living - and I work for a fair boss - yet some days - I look up from the bilge in which I am working and I just wonder why - but if I am doing my job - I can look back at good work - and keep moving forward...
Hell - somebody has to build the damned things - sometimes I come home from work and get in the elevator and some yuppie looks at my shoes and thinks that I am there to rob the place - but I own my place - I just build boats for a living...
There is a qoute - 'nothing worth having comes without some kind of fight' - I think that might be from some Bruce Cockburn song - it rings true for me...
Hope your are well...

Sometimes I think (stupidly) it would be fun to publish some of my story but my preferred title "A Fortunate Life" is done & many unbelievers would dismiss with one word - "********", but then why waste a good story with the truth, to corrupt a good quote from somewhere.
Another title (and even name for next boat "Flaneur" but I am chicken as it has many undesirable connotations & interpretations.
Have a good day, see ya

Hello...
Yeah - you would not want the rest of us to think that you are the arrogant architect in this crowd of fools - would you...
Why - we would have to assume ourselves to be the fools - overseen by yourself and others - wrapped in whatever self absorbed placenta you have chosen to mask your conversation in - oh please tip your hat to us ****** - while we go on eating donuts...
Me - I just like Barcelona chairs - Corbusier lounges without the cow hide - Phillip Johnson and Richard Nuetra - but my wife won't let me have any of it - well - she bought me a Corbusier lounge for Christmas, but not with the cow fur - more importantly - I like peanut butter...
Oh God - peanut butter - peanut butter on Veronica Zemanova...
Now that would be an open faced sandwich...
I feel so common...

F*** off, this little Aussy is no architect, but I have been called an artist (********) of occasion. ha ha
I also appreciate articulate presentation of thoughts & ideas, which you often demonstrate in generous proportions when inclined.
Your wit is too quick for me, I will leave it to Frosty I think.

Nice hey and the burn (if my failing memory serves) about 1.5.litres per mile of at 13knots comes down to around 1 litre per N Mile. Don't quote me (stupid thing to say) but trying to remember - around 3 tonnes (metric)

Nearly bought it but lacked required range, hence the one-tenth model being done for me. Other images are from the guys at the club where my model is being done, as I lack the expertise.
The Chamberlin C10 was the inspiration, as the concept and configuration met my needs and aspirations for full retirement & future needs analysis.

"So do it" is a good boat name, sets my mind on a new direction for boat names. "Flanneur" is out, as is "Giggelo" (spelling?) "a good port" ? has merit.

My "Telstra" broadband is not broad enough. It has been throttled to allow more users to pay exorbitant rates for twelfth performance.

Too late I'm afraid, all stocks have been used in the Australian federal elections. Potentially a good source of material, thanks

 Here in the good ole US of A distributors of signs in support of candidates or acts that are part of an election are required, after the election, to go around and pick up all campaign signs. This, of course, is generally ignored. But if we could recycle that dung as a boat building material and pay people for it, not only would these signs disappear, but people would even be willing to clean places where candidates held rallies - award the cleaning to the highest bidder. Wow! Great idea Sean!
