Optimum Scow bow angle?

I am designing pontoons with a flat scow front.
Is there an optimum angle for a scow front end?
This houseboat will operate in an inland lake and not over 10 mph hull speed.

Also, which would be better-- a narrower deeper hull, or a wider shallower hull? Does it matter?

No optimum angle. Just better than totally bluff.

As for wide shallow deep etc , you are better with a wider hull for the best stability since it is all form stability with this sort of application. But there's not much to go on ! Any concept sketches , numbers ?

The more rake (angle) the less displacement. The less weight capibility in the bows.
At 10 mph, you won't have much bow wake. 45 degrees is a easy one to work with.
How much total weight will these 'toons need to cary?
How much freeboard do you want when fully loaded?
Knowing these 2 things will let you play with the displacement equation & get a better idea of the shape of the hulls
