Best way to apply gelcoat?

I tried a paint sprayer, worked ok, still would have to sand afterward. Also tried a roller with a foam cover, didnt leave much gelcoat on the surface. Im applying over a large area. Any ideas?

SpecialEd, gelcoat is really formulated for application to a contact molding surface, for spraying for a finish you might want to look at using "duratech" additive- makes it spray more like paint, google it. All the best from :) jeff

you will alwaYz have to sand, wet sand, then buff gel-coat no matter how you apply (unless directly to mold) it ALWAYZ orange peels
