Are you an enthusiatic amateur, or a dodgy pro? If the latter, I think you are the most irresponsible person on this forum. Why don't you get some basic NA training, then buy some software (the tutorials come free!).

max is a great program and no its not for ship design, so yep PI...
just in case xhanasico is a enthusiatic amateur i'd say try some nurbs
or download a few 3DS free boat models from turbosquid (http://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Index.cfm?INTFILETYPE_3=0&INTFILETYPE_1=0&BLSHOWCATEGORYSELECT=false&INTRATINGCOUNT=0&ISTSEARCHKEY=boat&INTFILETYPE_2=0&INTCATEGORY=-1&INTBUNDLEID=&ISTINCAUTHOR=&ISTEXCAUTHOR=&FUSEACTION=ProcessSearch&FLTRATING=0&DATEBEFOREPUB=&INTMEDIATYPE=-1&STGBOOLEAN=L&INTMAXPRICE=&STGTYPE=&DATEAFTERPUB=&BLSEARCHGAMEREADYONLY=FALSE&INTSTARTROW=1&ISTEXCKEY=&INTMINPRICE=&stgAD=15J244404040441&stgOrderColumn=A5&intSortOrder=1&blViewType=1&blViewTypeTip=y&intMaxResults=50) to examine
better yet start your hull in freeship and export to 3DS for detailing
more info here under software on this forum and learn some basic NA
that said, dont go totally banana's on the math, NA is a tough float
and for max, actually, it works pretty nice together with acad nowadays

Hi Yipster,
Nothing against the programme, but confused by xhanasico's posts, which seem to be a mix of cluelessness, enthusiasm and software piracy.
