Prices for boats in good condition seem to range from $3,000 to nearly $20,000.

I'm just showing the wide range of pricing for the description you gave. Chris Craft was pretty big back then for a boat company; they made many different styles of boats in similar size ranges. Some of their runabouts were straight mass production, a few were upscale limited production. To complicate things, although most hulls were FRP by then, they were still making a few wood hulls in 1972. For any advice to be helpful, you'll need to provide a detailed description of the boat and several photos.
