I like this design and have sent off for the plans and patterns. I hope it was a good decision.

Notice the bow in the frame photo, then the bow in the finished photo and print picture? I'm not sure that they're the same.

Any thoughts?

looks like fun to build, not same boats at all, one has almost plumb classic bow, other is raked and flared, so which one are you buying?

I have my mind set to build the "White Cap" as shown in the picture at the top of the page, but I'm a little confused as to the drawings that are shown on the page. All I have done is exchange e-mails with the gentleman at this site and I have mailed him $255.00 for the plans and patterns.

I will wait to get the plans and patterns in hand before deciding if I want to tweak the design a little.

I have a different design in mind for the stern but perhaps this being my first build I better stick to the drawn plans.

I hope to have everything ready to start within 3 weeks, we'll see though.

I love the classic lines, and it would be a great build if you have the skills. Are you going to use clear finish wooden planks on the decks? This would be a real head turner and a fun boat to drive around on fairly protected water.
Unless you have lots of previous experience, take my advice, don't tweak the plans. There is enough craftsmanship required to build this thing well just going exactly from the plans.
