The streamline is one awsome boat, does any one here have plans for this boat or one of similar design? I am new to boat building and no very little. I have a Vangaurd Zuma and hate that pig off a boat. Is there any way to make the zuma bigger? stretch it out and change the hull a bit or should I just concentrate on the Streamline? I really like the idea of a two persom racing boat that is long and sports big sails, jib, and spinaker. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The Streamline is built by Mader and a quick Google search will lead to all sorts of interesting places, some of which have used boats for sale. You have absolutely no chance of finding plans but if you have the cash and the desire, not to mention good contacts in the shipping business,a Streamline could be yours.

The Streamline is a high tech hull requiring specialized manufacturing techniques, and the co. does not release plans for homebuild. Eehaney has the right idea if your heart is set on a Streamline: keep searching and purchase a used one (unless you can spring for a new one, but then you wouldn't be here! :) ). The Zuma is also a relatively high tech molded hull; wouldn't recommend trying to do much to modify it.

A high performance boat that can be built from plans or a kit, close to the size of the Streamline and getting good reviews for its performance, is Dudley Dix's Didi Mini: http://dixdesign.com/didimini.htm .
