Where to start???

I have a 1950's era yellow jacket molded plywood boat that I'm going to restore. I need to know, should I do the inside first or do the outside hull first?

Much depends on what you have to do. I usually fix the structure first, to get a straight boat, then move to finish surfaces. It makes no sense to get a nice finish on some parts of the boat and risk screwing it up, lugging a heavy tool or piece over it to complete other repairs.

The inside of the boat will collect debris, from any operations carried out on the boat, even outside. Dust and particulates will find themselves in the boat, so plan accordingly.

The yellow jacket is 16' long and 5' wide. her structure is in great shape. Its been in a barn for the last 10 years and is very dry. other than replacing some seats and a few supports its good. just want to make sure I don't screw up a newly painted interior or hull.
