Viking ships - reading material, resources?

hello!

I am interested in reading about construction of Viking ships. Does anyone know some good books about Viking ships? (it is ok, if they are in swedish or norwegian!) Also, are there any drawings available for these types of ships?

There is the Oseberg ship in Norway that there posibly exsist drawings off. I recomend you contact the museum.

You also got the Norwegian explorer Ragnar Thorset witch probartly could be convinced to give away drawings from the Viking ship he build.

Sunnmøre museum also has one if my memory serve me right.

http://www.vikingeskibsmuseet.dk/ The Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde, Denmark is probablythe premier place in Scandanavia doing research in replicating the methods of viking ship/boat building. Start there.
The Museum in/near Oslo which has the Gokstad and Oseberg ships has the lines and offsets of these two ships available. They're very well done, very detailed, and moderately priced. Write the boat section of the museum (URL noted in first response, above)

Ulf Mikalsen, a Norwegian boatbuilder has a website traditional vikingboatlike Norwegian lapstrake boat and he has published a fine book (in Norwegian) on traditional lapstrake boatbuilding.
