Under 40 hrs. I originally ran this 30 HP Yamaha. I added the sponsons after I fabricated the aluminum hood with the leftover .100 ga. and some .1875crops. Ran pretty skinny with the prop, but ,my buddies say she will run if you pee off the bow with the jet. Need a lot of beer though ...

Nice work. I was wondering if you would mind telling how many sheets of aluminum it took to build? Also did you design the whole thing yourself, or work from some plans?
Thanks.

That boat was purely an exercise in material utilization. I used a 5'x12' sheet for the bottom, a 4'x16' ripped down center for the sides, and I believe another 4'x8' sheet, as well as the angle, split pipe, and flat bar. When I finished, the crops fit in a five gallon bucket. As far as plans, it was an "as built", two pages of Pythagoras and trig. scribbled down. I have found most boat plans are way overkill on materials ( small boats anyway)for my taste.

Hey Dick, That's a really pretty boat you've built, has it seen the water yet, looks like it'll be fun. Rusty
