Problems critical for tearing of the horizontal gasket at the panel #2 and #3 mating joints, due to reverse travel of the hatch covers in straightening the pivot link lines. Suggest to reapply seals at the vertical rim webs. Also, the original configuration imposed a stowage problem in webs crushing the adjacent panel when in the upright position. Additional longitudinal girder needed to be implemented. Possible increasing the elevation of track to lift panel off the gasket at the initial opening condition may be considered.
Reducing scantling by trimming the deep webs may also help.
