Anybody have good 'rules of thumb' on routing shift cables? We have sold new E-Tecs and the shifter binds, mind you, these are repowers.and new cheapo hulls. What do I need to tell these guys so our product will operate smoothly?Personally I'd tell them to spend more money on a "designed " boat.:) Routing tips and tricks appreciated, Thanks, JD

No sharp bends.... bends with a radious of less than 2.5 feet are to be avoided at all costs.

to add to RMSOSF no cheap or old cables your asking to make a good engine work with a bad cable now you have a bad engine
do yourself a favor and do it right when repowering and have happy people

The right length is also a good tip. This wont neccesitate sharp bends or unwanted winds of cable taped up under the slosh well.

Or a cable that is too tight when the engine is in lock--or tilted
