I was going to place this under the multihull subject thread, but when you view it you will find all sorts of sailing craft....and most all of them are rather fast models.
This is an excellent video not to be missed:!::!:

This week's video was produced by Harken, who are celebrating their
40-year anniversary this year, and have created a tightly edited
celebration of 'all things sailing'. Footage includes landsailing,
iceboating, scows, skiffs, offshore mulithulls, and pretty much anything
else that floats and sails. There are also some pretty cool segments of
winch machining and robotics assembly. The 6:07 minute video provides a
handy reminder of how many types of sailing there is, and how much fun
it can be

I assume you are asking about reefing the mainsail? No these big boys were not roller reefed, it's slab reefing
Douarnenez Bay, what a show. It looks too fantastic to be real.
Thanks for posting it Brian:cool:

The 2007 St Maarten Heineken Regatta is scheduled for March 1-4, so it is high time we get a laugh from this highly dramatic and humorously produced promotional video for the event. Powerful music and intense narration describes tales of high adventure, bitter on-the-water battles, self-sacrifice, and ultimate courage… all laid over footage of inebriated sailors enjoying the regatta parties. Watch this, and you will start singing, “Mothers, don’t let your babies grow up to be sailors.” Spare 2:06 minutes for some fun.

I won't haven't any doubts about that as there is no way you are going to get any lift to get out of trouble.

The control is amazing without a person on the helm to anticipate the conditions. Gets caught out a little but still keeps control. You would not find me on the foredeck tending sails at that speed in those conditions with no one else on board. In fact I would not be on the foredeck in those conditions - that is what crew do.
You would want to be a good barefoot skier if you fell overboard with the lifeline attached! Do they have some trip system for that eventuality?

He doesn't even appear to have a safety harness on !!
You have to be young and agile for that type of sailing.
