RESTRICTIVE JACKSONVILLE ORDINANCE DRAWS EAA'S ATTENTION
http://www.eaa.org/communications/eaanews/060822_jacksonville.html
I don't know if somehow the ban includes boats and hovercraft. This type of "ordinance" should alarm us all no matter where we live or what we plan to build.

Now that sounds NASTY, one step from banning everything!
So you got a cold winters evening and your in your home workshop (if such a thing is still allowed) and you start turning out a new doorhandle on your minilathe for your airplane - crash! bang! wallop! eight armed police in body armour big hats and riot shield come crashing through your door - thats it 20 years hard labour coming up!
Come back George Orwell all is forgiven "1984" ain't a patch on this! Sounds like the English gun laws or fox hunting laws

What pencil pushing neon idiot decided that that is a way to cure a noise ordinance issue? Like cutting off your head to cure a case of dandruff!
The law will never stand for several obvious constitutional reasons. It's one thing to suggest a law, even enact one on a local level, but another to make stupid ones stick, for very long.

It's the old saying that the people that should be in politics never are (they are out doing constructive stuff in the back ground) (quiet, low key, low profile types) and the types we do get in politics should never be there, but are 'cos they know how to make noise and get noticed.
