plans for airboat

I'm looking for some plans for a plywood airboat. about 14' long. can anyone help out. i don't need anything real fancy. just want to be able to seat about 3 people and be able to fish without flipping it. don't know what kinda motor i will use yet. i don't need to go fast but i want to be able to make it across a river. friend of mine had a continental 220 years ago, i think it is a bit too big, i want to keep the cost down and not alot of power i would have to worry about getting outa hand.

they also have the two man one. i may go that route. says the 2 man needs a motor around the size of a snow mobile engine. hum,,, i live in northern indiana, i may be able to get one.

I tried the google route too, with the same results you guys got, no one wants to give away free plans.

I'm a modeler, not familiar with air boats, but there may be plans here and you may get idea for a design, being most all of the rc airboat are scatch built. Put some real plans with some rc plans and you may have a boat. Not much different except for size and power plant.

Quite a few airboat owners have turned their attention to noise reduction and many are making impressive headway. When I say impressive, I am referring to 600 hp engines operating under power with 50’ sound levels under 90 dB and “normal plane” readings of less than 78 dB. My thanks to Ron Miller who called me for discussion on this topic earlier this year and mentioned this website. Ron is an avid airboater who shares our desire to reduce sound level before legislation reduces our available areas to operate. Ron attended the Grand rapids hover-in earlier this year and brought along his 600 hp airboat.
