Sorry the second picture looks so crowded and crappy...Did not have too much time to put it together..I hope it is comprehendible...I would love to know your thoughts and opinions.

My plan is to:

1, Replace rotten Stringer (should I coat the stringer with vinyl ester resin, fiberglass it, or both before installing?)

2. Fiberglass over the Stringer to protect it, like the others.

3. Fiberlgass the whole floor (where the stringers are) again.. (Is this ok? I know that the last person drilled holes into the Stringers to mount the plywood floor. Will fiber glassing the whole thing again gives it extra protection from water?)

4. Lay the Plywood floor (epoxy putty the edges and cracks to seal it up, fiberglass over the plywood floor)

5. Lay another sheet of thin Plywood (epoxy putty the edges and cracks again)

6. Build storage, mount seats and lay marine grade carpet.

7.Bondo and fiberglass small holes in the boat (Bondo and sand holes above water, and fiberglass and bondo holes below water)
8. Fish!!!

Sorry this reply is not to give you info i also have a very simular "crappy boat" and thought i should keep an eye on this thread. I however have almost no internals such as steering column and waterpump to pump out water after rain....i am not even sure if mine has a gas tank or what ever.....what internals do you have.....you probally want to make sure you have everthing that is required underneath the plywood and fiberglass before you start.lmk

Here is a few pics of my dads 14ft F/G boat that I recently replaced the floor in. I used exterior grade 9mm plywood resin coated on the bottom and glasses with polyester resin and choped strand mat on the top with a 4in overlay onto the sides the under supports are pine decking that was laying around the shop. this is a 1982 ex sea rescue boat and the new floor is twice wat the original is so hopefully should last another 25 yrs.
I hope this helps and answers some of your questions

Cheers Alister
