how much change do i have in my pocket?, just joking , hard to say by looking, if you can get a piece and burn it with a lighter if it smells sweet its polyester more than likly its poly , what year is the boat? it could be skined with vinyalester and the rest with poly,

Should I grind out all the poly that was used during the last repair,(using the word repair very loosely), and get back to the original material?

Thats what I figured and was hoping. The ahem "repair" people used gobs of it. There is even a chunk the size of a baseball just stuck to the hull between stringers.
