hi,i have a volvo penta 25hp outboard, wen i run it at first it runs on the top cylinder only for ages, not the bottom, then after about half an hour it fires on two again, till i turn off then the whole process starts again, now today i swopped the coils over, top to bottom and vice versa, now it runs on both as it shuld straight away....why wuld it do this,is there some logical answer or is something fishy????????????any ideas wuld be welcolmed

Sounds like the bottom cylinder is loading up with fuel or oil when it sits. Have you pulled the spark plug and inspected it before, during, after incident?

yes,i put new plugs in it today wen i swopped the coils and wen inspected after they were both blackish, before i swopped the coils over the bottom one was clean and wet,the plug was sparking tho....if all that makes sense.i guess i have a carb problem,it has two,one for each cylinder....also i cant see any reeds in my engine, does it need them or was this model made without???
