Need to know a technical name for a certain boat, please help

I would like to know the name/or manufacturer of a boat that I wish to research. The boat is a bit like a catermaran but is usually powered by a 10-25 hp motor. The design consists of two toons about 10-12ft long that I believe are foam these toons are connected about 8ft apart. The boat has one or two seats along with an area for a gas can and that is it. It is designed for a fast ride with a small motor and is used for nothing else.

I think you are talking about what used to be called thrill craft. The best known one was made by Mercury and called the Cougar Cat. They were 13 feet and sported a 35 horse outboard, could seat two and did about 35 to 40 mph. These weren't pontoons. It was a molded fiberglass boat. These were the predecessor to Personal Watercraft. When the Jet Ski came along these boats were no long made.

Might be like a chase boat for rowing coaches so they can stay up with the crew with little wake. Jeff.
