looking for economical powercat

Hi, im new here.
im planing to build a 30ft (beam 14ft) powercat with outboarders in the philippines.
Im from switzerland. my english its not really good.
I found already some ideas. but its difficuld to build there becouse kss sandwich(pvc) buildingstyle.
Its possible to build a powercat with wood/epoxy/glas with crusingspeed 15kn and two 90hp engines? ore some any ideas about plans and kit`s.
Im verry thanksful to any answer.

Hi benny 333,and a big welcome from Australia,have a look at the schionning website in Australia they do a good powercat just like you describe. I'm doing a powercat out of a timber called KIRI, similar to balsa but does'nt rot, similar to western red cedar but lighter. Have a look at pics in album. I can give more details if interested

i have to ask my boatbuilder if we can found that wood in the philippines.

Benny 333, glad to be of help. Schionning usualy use Duflex epoxy /balsa composite but I spoke to them a while ago about doing a Kiri version with a positive response.
Google "Highpoint timbers" for more info on KIRI. It actualy is imported into Australia from China, so phillipines seems to be on the way. Also a lot of the fiberglass and resins in Aus these days seem to have originated in China, could be a great dollar saving for you.
Just be cautious, I have heard that a lot of the boat yards up there don't have experience in this style of lightweight construction, so do your homework.Again only what I've heard.

If you have found one let me know,I would consider a trip up for a fitout on my 50 footer
