Prepairing to do floor, stringers, and transom on a 17' 1968 Larson. I'm assuming this was originally polyester, not epoxy because of it's age. Is this a safe assumption? Still removing the pour in foam that the last owner put EVERYWHERE. Looking for opinions on what resin to use. Leaning towards poly. The original has lasted 38 years, so why change?

Just found this forum and started reading.

Currently leaning towards rebuilding with hollow composite stringers to eliminate future chances of rot.
