Coating Fibreglass

After reading the post about coating timber on a boat and getting answers from people with lots of knowledge I thought I'd seek some help myself.

I have a timber boat that has been sheathed in fibreglass. The fibreglass is a bit shabby and I would like to get some input as what to coat it with.

Would an epoxy coating go onto fibreglass OK?

yes to your question , the only thing is that epoxy does not have a uv block if you do use epoxy you should coat it with varnish

is the fiberglass discolored? Or delaminated? Or really etched and dirty? Is there a coating on it?

Yes Toot it has been painted but I don't know with what.
