you see iam looking to do a summer project before the next duck hunting season and iam very interested in building a "Layout boat" which i have photos of at the bottom, but the only ones that i see are all made out of fiber glass does anyone know where i can find layout boat designs in wood that lists all the materials and lengths of the materials that would be needed?

On the water:

Just for Sh*ts and Giggles I did up a quick something in Carene 2003 (plywood panels only) and imported it into freeship to touch it up a bit. This would end up an excercise in plywood sculpting but it certainly is doable...at least to the general shape and idea.

PS waterline is at 325 lbs displacement

That is called a "sneakbox" traditionally. Search under that name and you will find lots of designs. Chapelle has at least one and you can get it for free.
