I did it, after many years of dreaming about it - daring myself, I went and did it.
It's not a Land Rover on African Safari, but I can pretend.
Ingredients: One 16 year old Geo Tracker - black. 10 of the cheapest gloss white spray paint cans I could find, and one gloss black no-name can. Three rolls of the cheapest masking tape and some Naval jelly for the rust.
I still need to do some touch up and clean off the old tape glue with mineral spirts, but it's done and I can now focus on other things.
If it were not windy (gusty 10 mph) and if I used the good paint and good 3M tape it, could of came out much nicer. For all the work involved would of been worth it to tape it and have a professional spray it. The next $700 car I do this to will be better - might even fix those rust holes.:p

This is not the first time I've done something this silly. In 1983 I painted my orange Ford short box van giving it black tiger stripes. In 1984 the Detroit Tigers won the world series, maybe there was a connection.;)
Ah..it is o.k.. is that geo tracker also called Suzuki Vitara ?Maybe you should try to air brush it next time..:)

Those aren't rust holes anymore, they are close encounters with a Rhino.

Does anyone know where I can pick up a cheap aftermarket ricer wing?
I only need the straight horizontal wing/ rear spoiler and side winglet parts, not the vertical support struts.
Used and slighly damaged for $20, not new for $200.

I did not want to get into Paypal and all that - never purchased anything off of e-bay before. However because of your link I found this new wing for only $35. This is tempting.

It was the program that came free with my camera, gets the point across though.
Here is an old sketch I did, lower the roof, hood scoop, some NOS or a blower and I have a Hot Rod.:D

Reminds me of the tale of the elderly Scots tramp who turned up at an English gent's newly acquired Highland estate asking if there were any odd jobs he could do for a hot meal. The English gent considered for a while then produced a pot of bright pink paint and said - "Yes, old chap.Take this and recoat the porch at the back of the house...."
An hour later the tramp banged on the door. "All done sir. And by the way, it's not a Porche, it's a Mercedes.......":)

Thanks, I need the kind words because everytime I get in the car a little something snaps off, buzzes or stops working.
The latest thing is the sun visor.
That's right the drivers side sun visor will not stay up - blocks my view. The fix; thinking butterfly bolt and sheet metal screw, because adhesive backing on velco will melt in the sun. I've learned a few things keeping this beast on the road over the years.
The heat shield on at catalitic converter is buzzing again. Most likely worked lose because I need engine mounts or transmission mounts.
I only put about 2,500 miles a year on this car - gosh darn it I'm going to have fun with it - not going to let it die.;)
