I am set to make six 17' identical pulling boats for a club. I am looking for a professional designer to tune and then vet the traditional design before production. (Due diligence!) Central US preferably, but . . .

Kerry, I have designed a 17' traditional pulling boat for lapstrake construction. Not sure if this is what you are after but details are on my website at www.bury.com.au in the power designs section.

Hans Friedel, Thank you for the reply. But I fear the distance may be unworkable.

The weekend of April 1, 2, I attended the Florida Gulf Coast traditional boat festival. There were some utterly spectacular pulling boats on display, wherries, whitehalls, adirondack guideboats. I rowed some of them...Aahhhhh!..soul satisfying euphoria. The most outstanding of these was from an outfit called Adirondack Guide Boats, from Vermont. (Not as far away as Sweden.) This outfit sells completed boats as well as kits. Since you want several of them you may be able to cut some kind of deal. Chesapeake Light Craft also sells some very creditable wherrie kits. Both these firms have very well proven designs that would be hard to improve within reasonable limits.

It is a very nice boat...and I love even more your Bancroft 30. Congratulations:cool:
