ok ive routed my problem, it was the CD box blown, now, ive replaced it with an MSD ignition, and when i jumped it, it started right away, (meaning my contstant voltage was on the battery and i touched the key'ed red wire to the battery as well) today when i tried to do that, all i get is the MSD box sparking the distributor (i took the stator off and seen it sparking) and no engine crank, when i turn the key over the engine cranks but no spark (key'd wire hooked up to a wire that gets hot when engine turns over, and then directly to the battery)

why cant i get my spark and engine crank to come together? any tips or trouble shooting?

i should mention for a moment today when i jumped the wires again it did begin to start then i removed the wire

Check the kill circuit in the switch. It grounds the ignition to stop the engine. Sometimes they are shorted.

Disconnect harness and jump the starter. If it runs there is a short either in the switch or the harness.
