Looking the wrong way?? What about dimensional changes in wooden structure asfo moisture? Wet structure > stretching, no wrinkles????

No, the stuff I coated it with in the first attempt significantly altered the properties of the fabric and so it not acts completely different from how it would be expected to act. A slight wetting of the fabric will cause localized shrinkage which indicates the frame is not involved.
