Isle of Man

Harbour = Douglas Bay

Rocky point is Douglas Head

Still in a way part of the UK as a self-governing British Crown Dependency

Douglas it is. The river in the city has now been fitted with a flap gate so you can lay afloat at LW. One of the few innovative features of a place that is firmly locked into the 1960's.

It's certainly not part of the UK. We don't even get free medical treatment when we visit!

But as a British Crown Dependency Mann is British but not a part of the UK and also no EU member.

Gans Bay or Gans Baai.

That was a easy one Wynand! The shape of the cape is too well known!

You beated me while I extended my post with some historical info and pics

-----------------------------------------

Danger Point Lighthouse, situated on the Southern point of Walker Bay, near the village of Gansbaai.

Three flashes every 40 seconds. 34 37 48.8 South, 19 18 10.9 East.

‘‘ Forty three years before the establishment of this hexagonal tower The British troopship H.M.S. "Birkenhead" carrying troops and their families to Port Elizabeth was wrecked on the reef of Danger Point on the 25 February 1852. A commemorative plaque recording this event has been set into the wall of the tower. ’’

BTW Richard, you might be interested to see the next pic of the bike on Mann. It seems to be difficult to make a nice landing after racing uphill that fast!

Cheers!

It is already a task to survive one fast lap on that TT Course! In the mid 70ies I did some laps on "Idiots day", when the course was open for the public.

Would you mind to do the next one? I have no time to prepare a good teaser (and less is´nt what we want).

Regards
Richard

Hi Richard,

Well, in that case I suggest that we will do the search of Perry.
Maybe that gives us a new regular or a former back, I don't know that.
I send Perry a PM to inform him that his quest is on.
