Yes Tiny, Iceland is right!

Raggi, did you go there with a Bergmenn Mountain Guide?

-

Cheers!
Angel

PS
Now we have to search where in Iceland....!!

PPS
Found that, Troll Peninsula of northern Iceland.

‘‘Troll Peninsula juts north into the Arctic Ocean North West of the town of Akureyri.’’ - ‘‘The Troll Peninsula and the Hidden Land Peninsula are seperated by Iceland's longest fjord Eyjafjordur. The town of Akureyri is at the south end of the fjord. This is the Arctic Heli Skiing's zone of operation and a world class ski touring and ski mountaineering area.’’

Hoyt & Tiny, toss a coin. You two did the legwork!

Good work :-)
I've been to Iceland many times, but mostly in the summer.
Akureyri and the area around is beautyful.

The pictures was borrowed from www.bergmenn.com, yes
I will go there skiing once!

That was one week in Italy, Alagna Valsesia and Refugio Guglielmina at Monte Rosa, skiing from 3200m down to 1200m.
See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSvf0l3jWUU
and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMfCmhu9an0
(the last one is from some friends, last year).

After that, lots of skiing with the kids here in Norway, like this:

Well, the islands in the background look like they could be volcanic, or another geological form perhaps typical of the area, but that doesn't really get me going too much. There's clearly a fondness for two masts, and a particularly high and pointy bow on the boats, but what I'm focussing on is the three folk in rather eastern looking hats, who look like they have a very interesting way for digging for shellfish. They have let the tide come in around them on a little shingle bank, and they have some thick cable, or pipe between them. Their legs look like they are pushing spades in, or perhaps operating a foot pump. Are they pumping water, or salt solution into the burrows of razor clams, or something like that?
Thailand?

Those guys seem to be standing on top of some kind of small platforms with a handle or the like. I'm also curious about what seems to be a big round fishing cage over the bows of the two masted boat on the left....

Cheers.

A sad thing happened. The link is to inform the regulars of this thread.

Let's go on with ‘Where is this?’. Richard likes this thread very much so let's keep this thing running so he can return to it whenever he likes to do so.

I'm going out till mid next week and won't be able to respond. What do you guys want; a bunch of clue's now or pick up this one when I return and you do some other ones in between?

Regards,
Angel

A difficult place to find,
- mountainous coast
- wealthy place
- occidental influence?
- whale hunting in past
- sothern hemisphere
- asian country
- two masted sailboats but rather motoring ones
- peculiar kind of beach fishing or whatever activity is that
- the girl... a singer?

My bet is Indonesia, but where....? No place seem to gather all characteristics. Lamalera is poor....
