Hudson River landing Richard, I wanted to just share it and did not know where to put it. That might be because I had 9 upper teeth pulled today in prep for an upper denture. The little white pills make me a dummy. Sorry, but I hoped you enjoyed this man's wonderful skills in putting a very heavy aircraft into the river and kept it whole so it would float. I got my commercial pilots license in April of 1960 so I appreciate great pilot skills. Hope you are doing well and coping with life's interesting tests of our abilities. Stan

Thank you Adrian! Really nice stories! I have heard about the Pelorus Jack but had no idea it was related to the Marlborough sounds. Stan, thanks for sharing! You know I am still with my (former) collegues.

Thankyou Guillermo, Richard for your kind comments, and Rasorinc, for the great simulation. Incredible calm and presence of mind from the pilot! Guillermo, am I right in thinking the galleon is going to undertake a long voyage to the East, in about a month's time? ![]()

OK, I know you all know what the ship is and to where its inmediate trip is going to be, but we need a winner of the teaser, Also, who can bring to our attention a very particular and unusual technical feature of its construction? (for this kind of replicas) Cheers.

| Was it the ability to sail to windward? The Barbary Pirates with the Xebecs were the first and raided European coastal towns as far north as Iceland. Was this to counter that threat?
