Ok, then, a easy one:

those hills scared more people to death, than any nature catastrophe in the past 60 years.

Is it an island in the Atlantic? And the expected catastrophe is that part of the island will slip into the sea and create a tsunami that will hit the eastern seaboard of the USA?
