hmmm

that was fast Ragnar! Compliments.

The house is on Burgaz Ada, one of the Princes Islands.

MS Pasabahce still is the fastest monohull Ferry in Istanbul.

And Pasabahce is the name of a suburb and the name of the largest glass factory in Turkey (if not worldwide as they claim).

Your turn.....

Ada is Island in Turkish. Adalar is the plural. The litter bin says islands authority.

And this is Burgaz Ada, as mentioned.

So, now where is your lighthouse?

It was just one Ada.......right.

Did you open the link? What a proud and strange looking ship, is´nt she?
She became the character model for about 50 successors which have characterized the townshape of Istanbul since. But none of the others had such a harmonic line and performance.
And the engine sound is real music. I was on Heybeli Ada last week when I took the pictures of the engine room. When I stood on the pier and she left for the next island, I could´nt walk away, I had to listen to her engines until she came out of range. I guess the Sulzers have about 500 liter displacement, no muffler, can you imagine that sound?

Maybe we should skip this one, just another island in the Med, and get somewhere new and more interesting?
