It's in North America.
My guess is that the three sailboats are designed by some Hereshof, father or son, I don't remember :-)

If it's the same cluster of wee boats Raggi, I still reckon they're 'Dragons' - and you'll recall: The Göteborg Yacht Club in Sweden, held a design competition in 1929 to find a boat that young people could afford for weekend cruising on the Scandinavian lakes and fjords. The competition was won by Johan Anker, designer and partner in the Anker & Jensen yard in Norway, who drew a small, bermudan sloop-rigged keelboat which had long overhangs, a short coachroof and small accommodation for two.
But of course I could be wrong....

I knew it was North America. One of the open powerboats just left of center is rigged for and advertises parasailing, and the large sportfisherman moored at the pier in the background is an Ocean 46 or 50.

From the low hills I'm thinking further south than the Maritimes or Maine. Rhode Island or Connecticut perhaps?

We've also got 'prats' fluttering overhead (parasailers) in Australia - and large sportfishermen...Mind you the architecture does have more of an American style..

By the way Raggi - your second jpg 000035-lg wasn't a yacht...It was a rock....A touch too much Aquavit ?

Bergalia, you are wrong this time,
Charlie is very close, it's an island not far from Cape Cod.

Checked now, Massachusetts!

You mean this boat from the original picture?
Do you see the gaff?
I add an old dragon for reference :-)

You're right Raggi. Talking at cross-purposes. I was concentrating on the four smaller craft.Completely overlooked the handsome vessel in your first picture.
Now, to the business. It's not bloody Martha's Vinyard is it...

Some more pics to keep you going...
A typical boat.
Some picturesque harbours...

Of course it's Martha's Vineyard.
Since I was little the name has been almost magic,
I know it's a tourist trap now, but I'd like to visit in the winter storms :-)

Love the painting of the 'Vanity' Raggi. My kind of boat - my kind of sailing.
Might even forgive you for Martha's Vinyard...What's wrong with the Orkneys, apart from midges, the cold rain, wind, treacherous currents, and Sunday closing....

Yes, I'm aware Oz has both parasailers and sportfishermen, even a few Oceans, Bertrams, and Hatteras, although most are locally built by some excellent mfrs down there. The overall ambience just said, "northeastern US".

What's TV?? Oh yes, that box thing that so many people of lesser mental abilities are so enamored of, staring at the soaps and "realities" and game shows .... substitutes for having a real life. OK, so now we know how you spend your time!

Fair play Charley - I only watched it once out of personal interest. I thought it was billed as the "Bald and the beautiful..."
